Profhilo is a bio-remodeling injectable developed by the Swiss pharmaceutical group IBSA, widely recognized as a next-generation skin quality treatment rather than a traditional dermal filler. It is formulated using IBSA’s patented NAHYCO technology, which creates a hybrid cooperative complex of 32mg high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid and 32mg low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid in a 2ml syringe, without the use of BDDE cross-linking agents.
Unlike conventional fillers that add localized volume, Profhilo spreads within the tissue after injection, acting on the dermis and superficial fat layers to stimulate the production of collagen types I and IV, elastin, and adipocyte-related regeneration. This helps improve skin laxity, fine lines, hydration, elasticity, and overall skin texture.
For facial treatment, Profhilo is typically administered using the BAP technique, with five injection points on each side of the face and 0.2ml per point, totaling 2ml per session. A standard course usually consists of two sessions spaced about four weeks apart, with results that may last several months depending on individual skin condition.
